Mo has a unique property of which it's melting point can reach 2610C, it is widely applied in high temperature vacuum furnace melting environment such as sapphire growing furnace, quartz glass melting furnace, and rare earth melting furnace. The working temperature of Mo sheet is above 1500.

Processing program of molybdenum alloy:
Molybdenum alloy is usually manufactured by powder metallurgy techniques in which Mo powder is hydrostatically compacted and sintered at about 2100°C. Hot working is done in the 870-1260°C range. Molybdenum forms a volatile oxide when heated in air above about 600°C and therefore high temperature applications are limited to non-oxidizing or vacuum environments.
Applications:
The highest working temperature where Molybdenum rod can be used in vacuum and environment is 1700℃. Molybdenum rod are widely used as heating elements, outgoing lines and radius rods in high-temperature furnaces. Also, they are used as electrodes and bolts in smelting industry. Other applications include electric vacuum parts, gaseous tubes, electrodes heating in glass industry and wall lamp brackets in lighting industry.
